THE MMU DSTV ROOM.

The Multimedia University College of Kenya (MMU)’s large DSTV screen at the students’ center attracts the campus population to support their favorite teams and clubs both local and international.
The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clubs like Sofapaka, Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards and Tusker FC have fans that enjoy watching their clubs play. In Europe, the famous English Premier League (EPL) champions like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have high number of supporters not forgetting non-EPL clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
Visit the room on weekends and meet the challenge of finding a suitable place to sit because of the large population of followers of EPL games which are usually scheduled to be played on weekends. The room is highly packed with fans and this qualifies the late comers to watch the game while standing. Also, meet with die-hard fans of EPL clubs wearing jerseys of their favorite clubs demonstrating their loyalty of showing total support.
The drama of watching football does not end at the room but extends to the halls of residence where arguments are generated by group of fans against their opponents to show the ability of their club and this can lead to quarrels and fights to those who lose in the arguments by being unable to control their tempers.
Watching football games is the most interesting activity in the present generation which is the mainstream of entertainment for those who love football but can’t get themselves in the stadiums where the games are played.
